Hard to believe it was nearly a year ago that I was in Louisville, Kentucky! A small city with lots of impressive old buildings and museums, plus great food and entertainment. Most of the time I was there the weather was great except for one freezing cold, very wet day that unfortunately coincided with the Thunder Over Louisville air show and fireworks…bad timing but the show still went on (even with some minor flooding of the Ohio River)!
Downtown

Muhammad Ali Center
Muhammad Ali the famous boxer was born as Cassius Clay in Louisville in 1942. The Muhammad Ali Center shares his legacy and ideals.
Frazier International History Museum
An excellent history museum and home of the Royal Armouries USA.
Thunder Over Louisville
A huge air show and fire works display over the Ohio River (I watched it from the Indiana side).
Louisville Slugger Museum
Home of the famous baseball bats, you can tour the museum (see Babe Ruth’s bat amongst many others) and go into the bat factory to see how they are made for Major League Baseball.

Slugger Field – Louisville Bats vs Indianapolis Indians
A fun day at the minor leagues and a win to the Bats!
