Finally some concrete news regarding the casting of Star Wars: Episode VII! This new movie in the Star Wars franchise is being produced by Disney (who bought the Lucasfilm name and rights last year) and is due for worldwide release on December 18th, 2015.
The good news following so many rumours is that a number of original cast members are reprising their roles. The Star Wars team announced the following today (note: anything in brackets I have added):
Actors John Boyega (Attack the Block), Daisy Ridley (TV actress), Adam Driver (Lincoln),Oscar Isaac (The Bourne Legacy, Sucker Punch), Andy Serkis (Gollum in Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit), Domhnall Gleeson (Bill Weasley in some of the early Harry Potter movies), and Max von Sydow (Flash Gordon, Conan the Barbarian the list goes on!
