Santa Monica – Get your kicks at the end of Route 66

Depending on your perspective, the historic Route 66 across America either stops or starts at the edge of the classic and expansive golden beach in Santa Monica, California. This is my favourite place to stay whenever I am in Los Angeles as it is not only a nice place where you can enjoy the sun and blue skies; it also always has something going on day and night. Santa Monica is a lot of fun and you can always head south to check out its freaky neighbour – Venice Beach for more fun too!
